I have a tuck under garage that the previous homeowner installed some indoor outdoor carpet into, which is nice but if snow melts onto it takes forever to dry. This looks like it will do the trick to contain the slop and be easy to clean. Seems durable. Just roll it out and your install is done. For the last 26 years I have been driving my car in the garage on bare concrete- my concrete is ruined. I am not redoing the floor or putting a coating on it, but I decided to stop the bleeding. I didn't want to drag in anymore salt, slush, rain or snow- so I bought this. Plus, I saw it at a friend's house and fell in love.My first order was too long- my fault- so I had to pay to ship that one back and got a shorter one. I got it, unrolled it, and let it sit for a bit so the creases would soften. They give you velcro to put on your floor and the mat to keep it in place, but I never used it. It stays just fine without being velcro'd down. This thing totally catches the stuff that comes off the bottom of your vehicle. You can just let it evaporate, or sweep it off. They send a squeeqee too, but I haven't used that. The little border rolls keep the liquid from running out into the garage. For cleaning, I don't clean it very often- it cleans up fine though. Not to look brand new, of course, but clean enough, IMO. This is definitely worth the money- should have gotten something like this 25 years ago.The cement floor in our garage that came with our apartment rental was deteriorating and we knew the landlord wouldn't do anything about it. It was very hard to keep the water from the snow and rain off the floor with all the holes that were developing. My husband bought this to cover the garage floor where the car sat. Much easier to use a push broom to keep the floor dry. Very heavy and for an older person not so easy to take up and clean outside the garage. It served it's purpose. It does what I bought it for. It keeps the moisture of a leaky garage floor out from under my 1948 Dodge. it catches the oil from a small leak. It is easy to clean up with the provided tool. I cleaned and even sanded down where I adhered it to the garage floor, but pretty much all of the adhesive pads came loose fairly quickly. When it rains heavy my garage floor seeps water so this is probably why.We have 2 wood stairs from our garage to inside the house. We live in a rainy area and when we would park the rain water would always seem to collect under the steps. So to prevent rot we got this works great for collecting the water and is definitely durable! Problems...it does not stay in place great so every couple months we have to adjust. Also not easy to clean, that water it collects so well, stays there. Their video for this product shows them simply squigying (spelling error prob) the snow/water off and done, but there is a small lip all the way around so the water doesn't run off...makes sense but now just standing water in your garage gets that musky smell...we shop vac ours occasionally and it's fine but it's not as easy as claimed to be. Still a great product recommend for sure just keep this in mind.Used the mat from November 2021 to May 2022 in Iowa to keep the salt brine off my attached garage floor. No moisture came through. Easier to use a shop vac to remove the standing water. Easy to clean and put away for next winter. Worked well.Cons: I wish I could give this product a 5-star rating, but I won't because I cannot get the wrinkles out of it. I purchased two of these. I laid out both on the floor of my heated basement for three days, which took care of a lot of the wrinkles. But, there are some wrinkles that will never come out. This is a problem because it makes it nearly impossible to efficiently squeegee the accumulated water and other debris that falls from the vehicle parked on top of it.Pros: Does what it should and holds water and mess that falls from my vehicles. Comes with a nice squeegee (handle not included).I have only used the two mats for about two months, so I cannot attest to their long-term durability. Yet, I feel they are quality made and will last if taken care of. All in all, a good product and I am happy with the purchase of these two mats. This product actually exceeded my expectations after reading some of the reviews. The winters here in Western NY can be brutal, as well as the salt they lay on the roads, which is damaging to cars AND garage floors when it falls off. It was pretty cold when putting the mat into place, and much too cold for use of the tape. The creases in the mat (from folding for shipping) are starting to lay flatter, and so far so good without the tape. The squeegee works well and I borrowed the handle off a rake for the winter. I move the mat closer to the garage edge, hold up the sides so the salty snow turds fall to the middle and push the slop to the front and flick off the mat to the driveway. Mind you I have a dirt driveway that will never be plowed down perfect, so the mess gets shoveled up and thrown off to the side. With having to back into the garage at an angle, I thought the tires would bunch the mat up. As long as the tires are being rotated while still backing in, instead of rotating the tires while sitting still on the mat, all is well there too. My husband was EXTREMELY critical when I told him of my purchase and why I wanted it (to save our garage floor of course). He is impressed (which is saying A LOT) and may purchase one for himself next year.Seems like a good product but a small puncture appeared a few weeks ago after receiving the product. A lot of water leaks through this and collects in the lowest corner of the garage. The hole is a small asymmetrical puncture like that created by a small rock. I suppose snow tires can attract small rocks especially when roads are sanded. Now trying to figure out how to repair the hole....we have had two of these in our garage now for a couple of months. They do collect the water and dirt so mission accomplished. However, they are very wrinkled and do not lie flat on the floor. I have had them, as per the instructions, in the warm house for a couple of days, before rolling them out in the garage. Still, the whole things is very uneven and wrinkly and not ideal. For the money they cost, I would not buy them again. The first year in my current insulated but not heated garage, I dealt with daily floods in the winter when my car would melt. It was horrible to deal with. I got this mat at the beginning of this season and WOW! My life has gotten so much easier. My garage is dry and clean. I love this thing. Do not let it fill up too much cuz it can get hard to move and water spills etc. Also, I did get a hole in it from a stone (my driveway is gravel, so it was bound to happen) but it was an easy fix with a tent patch. Highly recommend if you are tired of your garage flooding when the snow melts off the carIt does what it supposed to do. I wish it didnt have wrinkles in it, It would be much easier to squeegee the water away with out the wrinkles. But it keeps the floor dry!this item is not suited to the AB climate,I kept it indoors for three days before I unroled it in my garage that I had heated with a propane heater for four hours but there was no way I could get rid of the creases ,I now have to drive my car over the creases and am afraid I am doing some harm to the mat, it will be I think July before my garage floor is warm enough to get the creases out if ever I would imagine in a warmer climate it would do the job but in AB I wonder.
